The <a href=\"https:\/\/beansproutadventures.com\/index.php\/2020\/05\/09\/another-rag-rug\/\">first request<\/a> was finished around this time last year, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/beansproutadventures.com\/index.php\/2018\/01\/26\/making-rag-rug\/\">non-requested rug + instructions<\/a> a few years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This rug is meant to replace a solid-color rug that shows hair and dirt too easily \ud83d\ude42 The rug uses a new-to-me <a href=\"http:\/\/timberhillthreads.blogspot.com\/2011\/02\/rugs-from-rags.html\">construction\u00a0method<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"931\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/beansproutadventures.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/IMG_20210505_214355.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/beansproutadventures.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/IMG_20210505_214355.jpg 931w, https:\/\/beansproutadventures.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/IMG_20210505_214355-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/beansproutadventures.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/IMG_20210505_214355-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><figcaption>You lay out strips side to side as a warp &#8212; I initially had this on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theweavingloom.com\/how-to-make-a-cardboard-loom\/\">makeshift cardboard loom<\/a>. The length should be the length you want your rug. Then you take strips of fabric and twine them around each other while doing <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Plain_weave\">plain weave<\/a>.
